Wilderless is a stunning open-world experience with a focus on exploring and enjoying nature

Wilderless is an open-world game where the focus is placed on exploring and enjoying nature. It isn't developer Protopop's first go at this sort of experience, with their earlier Nimian Legends games laying the foundations for what is achieved here. Its depiction of nature – of being in the great outdoors – appears to be both serene and utterly epic in scale, though know that it's not aiming to offer the same loot-hunting, monster-killing thrills now so entwined with the genre. Instead, you'll spend your time soaking in the scenery, enjoying nature, and occasionally transforming into a hawk to soar through the skies and admire the wilds from above. In human form, you'll also…

Warhammer 40,000: Lost Crusade is an all-new strategy MMO for mobile

It can at times feel like a new Warhammer mobile game is announced every few months. The latest to come along, Warhammer 40,000: Lost Crusade, is an MMO strategy title that puts you in command of vast space fleets and legendary heroes. Info is a little light at the moment, but here's what we know so far. Combat plays out in real-time on fully 3D battlefields, and you can expect a sizable variety of Warhammer 40,000 heroes to collect as you go. We also know that it's a collaboration between Orca Games, China Central Television iCheng, and Games Workshop itself. At…

Grindstone gets a major update that adds more levels, a new enemy, and another boss

Grindstone, one of the most popular games on Apple Arcade, has just received a major update that adds 15 new levels to work your way through, a challenging boss to take down, and more. If you missed this one at launch, it's a smart, tight puzzler that tasks you with cleaving your way through hordes of monsters in the most efficient, stylish way possible. Along the way, you'll acquire fresh loot, craft powerful new gear, and occasionally fight the odd boss. The vanilla version was already fairly content-packed, but this latest update takes it to the next level. There's a new enemy that gobbles up smaller foes and then morphs into their colour. If you've played the game, you'll know how tric…

Bomb Chicken, Nitrome's hard-as-nails platformer, launches today for iOS and Android

Bomb Chicken is an all-new madcap platformer from developer Nitrome. It sees you playing as a chicken who, naturally, lays bombs instead of eggs. How did this happen? Well, a freak accident, of course. With an endless supply of bombs at its disposal, the chicken heads out to investigate the dodgy fast-food giant known as BFC and the troubling secret behind its highly addictive hot sauce. As you might expect, the bombs have tons of different uses. You can, for example, stack them to reach high-up areas of the level or kick them to take out any enemies that happen by. You're also going to be able to bounce your balls, allowing them to pass around corners or into locked-down areas. Based o…

KartRider Rush+ is coming to take Mario Kart Tour's mobile karting crown

Nexon's upcoming KartRider Rush+ is promised to be the most expansive kart racing game on mobile, aiming to deliver a vast array of modes, tracks, and racers that should hopefully please the genre's many fans. The KartRider series has a long and storied history, having spawned many games across almost as many genres. This latest title seems like a fairly straightforward, though greatly enhanced, version of the series' earlier karting experience, but it obviously has some fairly stiff competition in the form of one Mario Kart Tour. Its characters, including Dao and Bazzi, might be well-known to fans of the series – or those with an astonishingly good memory – but they're hardly…

Marvel Contest of Champions introduces the dreaded Terrax the Tamer

The latest character to arrive in Kabam's Marvel Contest of Champions is Terrax the Tamer. I wasn't particularly knowledgeable on this guy prior to now, but I gather he's one of Galactus' deadliest cronies. Terrax was once a ruthless dictator who ruled over the city of Lanlak. He did such a great job of it that Galactus himself eventually took an interest and helped turn him into the master of rock and earth he is today. As you might expect, he uses a powerful rock field to shred his unlucky opponents to bits. When he's not doing that, you'll often find Terrax channelling his cosmic powers to increase his power rate and temporarily gain indestructibility. The arrival of Terrax follows o…

These are basically factions ruled by famous Marvel characters, including Queen Shuri and Peggy Carter. This month's featured house has now been announced, and it's the Asgardian Republic. This follows on from the reveal of the Patriot Garrison, the Temple of Vishanti, the House of Iron, the Kingdom of Wakanda, and more. The Earth has been plunged into a dangerous realm known as the Battleworld, where all of Marvel's legendary heroes and now trapped in a violent war. This should allow for plenty of fun arena-based combat e…

Dire Wolf's digital adaptation of Sagrada launches for iOS and Android on March 31st

Developer Dire Wolf's latest is a colourful adaptation of Floodgate Games' Sagrada. This one sees you attempting to craft your very own stained-glass masterpiece while dealing with the challenging demands of your patrons. The idea is that you'll take turns selecting from various colourful dice before placing them in your window. The challenge stems from having to select your dice carefully while taking into consideration restrictions on both colour and the number on your die. Once all is said and done, the player with the most beautiful window will be declared the victor. Thankfully, you'll have a number of tools to help alter the dice available to you. This opens up additional avenues o…

Marvel Future Fight's latest bumper update adds new characters, uniforms, and more

Marvel Future Fight has now received a new update inspired by the X-Men comic book storylines "House of X" and "Powers of X". Both tales see Charles Xavier and a band of mutants creating a new world order in isolation on the island of Krakoa. What does this mean for the game? Well, some new characters, gameplay improvements, and themed uniforms have now been added for you to collect, further building upon the already content-packed Future Fight experience. The most exciting part of this latest update is undoubtedly the arrival of House of X-themed characters, including Professor X, Mystique, and Mister Sinister. Professor X can now be upgraded all the way up to tier-3, and he comes with n…

Roundguard is a Peggle-like dungeon crawler available now on Apple Arcade

Wonderbelly Games' Roundguard is this week's new Apple Arcade game. It's described as a "bouncy dungeon crawler where pinball physics put your targeting skills to the test", and it's out right now. Basically, it's a strange mix of Peggle-style pachinko gameplay and RPG elements, adding distinct character classes and skills into the mix. And why not throw some roguelike mechanics and procedurally generated levels in there while we're at it? It sounds like a neat mesh of genres and ideas, though I've yet to play it myself so can't quite say whether this particular combo works. While death is permanent, you'll still have a chance to bring a helpful trinket into your next run. The power of…

Marvel Contest of Champions adds supervillain Mole Man to its impressive roster

The latest addition to Marvel Contest of Champions' impressive roster is supervillain Mole Man. Prior to the whole supervillain thing, Mole Man was a nuclear engineer called Harvey Rupert Elder. Once shunned for his small stature – and eventually booted out of the world of academia – he's now a real force to be reckoned with.   With his monster pal, Giganto Jr., at his side, he's now ready to enter the Contest of Champions and perhaps even claim victory. Giganto Jr. can soak up a great deal of damage and deal out even more. He's able to purify any debuffs that could harm Mole Man, converting them into monster mass instead. This can then be used to counter-attack opponent…

Fantasy MMORPG Land of Angel: Chaos Origin opens for pre-registration on Google Play

Land of Angel: Chaos Origin is the latest MMORPG from UnlockGame, the minds behind Fantasy Legend: War of Contract and Legacy of Destiny. This one's set in a land once ravaged by all-powerful dragons. Thankfully, brave heroes rose to the challenge and ended their reign, but now a new threat both dark and bloodthirsty has stepped out of the shadows. Now, the undead have risen and started taking over the world. The only fighters capable of taking them down happen to be you and your band of monster hunters. With it being an MMO, you can expect plenty of dungeons and bosses to take down alongside other players. While the risk may be great, the reward for delving into the most dangerous parts…

The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross launches globally for iOS and Android

The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, Netmarble's hotly-anticipated RPG, has now launched globally for iOS and Android. It aims to offer an authentic retelling of The Seven Deadly Sins' many adventures, boasting an impressive world to explore and over 100 cutscenes to hopefully enjoy. The original Japanese voice cast reprise their roles here, which I'm sure will come as a relief to long-time fans. You'll begin your adventure by selecting heroes from the game's extensive roster in order to create your ideal team. From there, you'll head out to take down enemies using the card-based combat system, complete various quests, and enjoy the fruits of your labour. Those who like to venture off the…
