Oh well it's Friday. Another week lost to the rampant march of time. Have you achieved all the things you wanted to? Have you become a useful member of the work force? Have you sat around in your pants a lot wondering what you're doing with your life? Probably that last one if you're anything like me.

Whatever you have or haven't done, Friday is when we round up the best games that have come out on the App Store this week. It's just something we like to do, we're not contractually obliged to do it or anything. It's just a bit of a giggle.

As usual you can click on the emboldened names of the games below to download them from the App Store. And if you think we've missed anything feel free to dump your own suggestions in the cess pool at the bottom of the content that we like to call the comments section.

Highwind

A shooter that takes the shooter apart, then lets you play around with the different parts. It's pretty smart, it's pretty slick, and it's got a load of decent ideas floating around within its little blasts of blasting. It's not perfect, but it's definitely worth checking out.

Bury Me, My Love

A game that's essentially a WhatsApp conversation. It deals with a lot of important and interesting themes about migration, relationships, and what it means to be a citizen of the world. This is one that you should definitely be playing, so go and grab it right now.

Battlevoid: Sector Siege

A big ol' RTS that sees you jumping into space battles and trying to blow the enemy to pieces. It's pretty accessible, but there's a decent amount of depth here as well. Plus there's loads of content, cross-platform play, and giant space explosions.

Subsurface Circular

A game that's really just a story. But it's a really interesting story, and it's presented brilliantly. You need to learn how to talk to a population of robots, and solve dialogue puzzles to discover what's going on. It might only last a short time, but it's got a really interesting premise and it's unlike anything else you've played before.

The Sun: Origin

A big shooty FPS with some interesting ideas. You're wandering through an irradiated wasteland trying to find supplies and stay alive. There are other wanderers to try and take down, and plenty of other monsters to shoot in the face or torso. It's taut, and it's a lot of fun.
