By , on November 22, 2017

Wednesday is here, and that means it's time to round up the best games that are currently on sale on the App Store. There might be more games on sale later in the week, so I'd suggest you keep an eye on our sister site Pocket Gamer as well to make sure you're getting all the sweet, sweet deals you need.

You can click on the emboldened names of the games below to download them from the App Store. And of course, if you spot anything during your travels that you think your fellow AppSpiers should be downloading, make sure you add it in the comments at the bottom of the article.

The Escapists - £2.99 / $2.99

A lovely pixely game that's all about breaking out of a prison. You could probably have figured that out from the title in fairness. You're breaking out of a series of increasingly tough lock-ups, and you need to use skills, items, and plenty more if you want to succeed.

Transistor - £2.99 / $2.99

A deep and intriguing cyberpunk action RPG. It's all about a lady and a talking sword, and it looks and sounds absolutely stunning. There's a whole chunk of fun to be had here, and a really interesting story to try and get to the bottom of.

Crowntakers - £2.99 / $2.99

A strategy RPG done just right. It's tough, gorgeous to look at, and learns from the stalwarts of the genre. Plus it fits perfectly on mobile. For this price, you're getting a huge amount of game for what you're paying, and if you love SRPGs, you're going to love every second of it.

Tennis in the Face - 99p / 99c

This isn't tennis like you know it. It's patently ridiculous, and an awful lot of fun. Sure it doesn't shift too far from the usual Angry Birds, stuff destroying template, but it's an awful lot of fun. And 99p is probably just the right price to make it worth your while.

King Oddball - 99p / 99c

It's a game about a king who is odd and a ball. And he has a really weird long tongue that he likes to get stuck on things like tanks. I don't know who comes up with this stuff, but sometimes I worry about them. Still, this is a slick arcade blast that's well worth checking out.
