Firemints' Flight Control wins Best Game at Australian Developer Awards

It's been a great year for Australian Developer Firemint - firstly with their game Flight Control selling 1.6 million copies around the world, followed by two of their games (Flight Control and Real Racing) being ranked in the top games on the AppStore for 2009.

Flight Control was named the best Aussie-made game at the Game Developers' Association of Australia (GDAA) held on Monday 7th of December 2009 at Crown Towers in Melbourne, Victoria. Firemint earlier release, Real Racing, received nominations for Best Audio, Best Graphics, Best Game, and together with Flight Control were the only two nominees for Best Mobile Title.

iPhone games are becoming quite the contenders in mainstream gaming, the now dissolved Transmission Games won 3 awards, amounting to the ever increasing realization that iPhone games are sitting up amongst the top players in the gaming world.
