Phoenix for iPhone Coming September

Firi Games, developers of Flair Elite, have announced the upcoming release of their new shoot-em up: Phoenix, due to arrive in the AppStore mid September.

App Info:

The in-house developed Flare engine provides the ability to display hundreds of bullets and particles at the same time, while still running on all iOS devices, including the original iPhone. This makes Phoenix one of the most spectacular shoot 'em ups available for everyone who owns an iPhone or iPod Touch.

The game centers around a single, procedurally generated infinite challenge. The goal is to destroy as many enemies as possible, going as far as possible, in an attempt to achieve the highest score. There is no set difficulty, instead Phoenix uses an AI director that adapts the difficulty on demand, depending on the player performance. In this way, Phoenix generates an exciting challenge for players of all skills. The procedural content generator can create millions of enemy variations, and combined with the adaptive AI director, no single play through will be the same.

Online high scores and leader boards are available for players to compare their scores with everyone around the world. Additionally, regional ladders are being implemented, so a player can compare their score with their fellow countrymen, and when they get better, compare their scores to players in greater geographic regions.

Finally, the game contains various weapon upgrades to improve the player's firepower and a plethora of power ups that provide that extra edge to overcome the hardest challenges!
