If you haven't had the funds / inclination to relive those glory days of 'Snake on a brick' via the hilarious Hard Lines on iPhone, you're in luck, boyo.

The reason is simple: Hard Lines's creators Spilt Milk Studio have teamed up with FreeAppADay to make their enigmatic little puzzler, well, free.

Now, it's not often that an iPhone game we award the full five stars to drops to sweet FA in price, so do not hesitate.

In Hard Lines, you're presented with three different control methods (I prefer Swipey), six different modes (I prefer Time Attack), and all manner of caustic quips (I haven't got a preference) from the differently coloured AI 'snakes'.

You may have noticed I've omitted to actually describe the gameplay in Hard Lines hitherto. That's because it's best left to the developers:

Guide...plucky underdog hero Lionel in his epic task to KILL ALL LINES, pick up lovely GLOWY THINGS, fight for survival (in SPAAAAAACE!), and most importantly DON'T CRASH!
