Crescent Moon Games have just formally announced their next title: Siegecraft.

It's got a fantasy-medieval setting, some physics-based warfare, and ruddy amazing graphics.

Here's the deal: you'll command and conquer hordes of real and fictional (orcs, anyone?) forces from one corner of the world to the next, flinging crossbows, catapults, and more at them.

Well, we really do need to talk about that graphics engine again. It's impossible to write about Siegecraft without giving a nod to the lush 3D graphics.

We're not kidding when we say that it's already shaping up to be one of the most beautiful games on iOS, if not on any mobile platform. Your iPhone really is in for a treat.

Crescent Moon Games are building up a mightily impressive track record on the App Store (most notably one of our picks of 2010 Aralon: Sword and Shadow HD and the 5* Gears), so you can bet your bottom dollar that we'll be keeping a close eye on this one.

Siegecraft is currently lined up for a September release.
