Apple Schedules 'Let's talk iPhone' Event For 4th October

By , on September 28, 2011

Apple has invited several members of the press to a special "Let's Talk iPhone" event on October 4th, which can only mean one thing: an official announcement of at least one new iPhone.

Strangely, the event is being held at Apple's Cupertino campus rather than in San Francisco - the venue for all previous iPhone and iPad launches.

It's still unknown whether we'll see the iPhone 5, the iPhone 4S, or both at the unveiling, though you can probably rule out an iPad 3.

We can safely assume that the highly anticipated iOS 5 software update will also receive a slice of the attention next Tuesday, with some new details and a more definite release date presumably forthcoming.

Hopefully.

That's sort of a shame since I've only just purchased a new iPod touch. I'm pretty sure that means new iPod touch aswell :(

I feel with you bro, since I just had to send my iPod to Apple because the display shattered into pieces when I dropped it. The "repair" means I get a new iPod for 219€.
