After numeorus rumours, assumptions, photographs, and more rumours, Apple has finally unveiled its new iPhone: the iPhone 4S.

The smartphone, which will ship with iOS 5, comes packing the same dual-core A5 processor found in the iPad 2, and a new and improved 8-megapixel camera.

Other notable additions include the same AirPlay Mirroring functionality found - once again - in the iPad 2, and Siri, an impressive personal assistant that you can ask to complete tasks, just by talking to your phone.

Finally, if you're partial to a bit of travelling, you'll be pleased to read that the new iPhone 4S can connect to both GSM and CDMA-based networks.

The iPhone 4S will be available to pre-order this Friday, and will go on sale a week later on the 14th.
