Gameloft Confirm Order & Chaos Online Accounts Have Been Hacked

By , on October 20, 2011

Here's your AppSpy public service announcement for the week.

In conversation with our sister site Pocket Gamer, French studio Gameloft have admitted that a number of Order & Chaos Online players have had their accounts hacked.

Without wishing to sound too alarmist, no one knows for certain how the Gameloft Live servers have been breached and quite how many gamers have been caught up in this security breach.

Order & Chaos Online, by the way, is Gameloft's iPhone homage to ultra-popular real-time MMORPGs like World of Warcraft.

And as anyone who has ever played - or witnessed somebody in their close family play - one of these utterly absorbing and compelling adventure romps will tell you, your elf is all that you are.

He defines you. You define him.

So, to discover that a hacker over in North Carolina has not only assumed your incredibly personal identity, but is also carrying out quests on your 'behalf' isn't just galling. It's life threatening.

We'll keep you updated on the Order & Chaos Online breach as it unfolds. Trust us.
