Halloween iOS Bonanza Part 2 - More Tricks And Treats To Enjoy!

By , on October 30, 2012

There are many reasons to enjoy the holiday seasons, but being able to grab a fistful of excellent titles at bargain prices and enjoying copious amounts of free content certainly helps.

So we're back again with more news of publishers and developers alike going crazy thanks to the pumpkin-fueled period that is the end of October!

Dead Trigger Halloween Update

We didn't make any bones about how dissapointed we were at the release content for MADFINGER's zombie shoot'em-up Dead Trigger, but true to their word the game is constantly being updated, making it a bargain at the generous entry price of 'free'.

Of course their Halloween update has just gone live, pushing out additional optimizations for the iPhone 5; a new Haunted Graveyard to visit; pumpkin-headed zombies to decimate; and a discount on the popular Minigun weapon.

Shoot The Zombirds - Updates To Make It Halloween-ier

Considering Infinite Dreams' bird-shooting arcade title was already somewhat Halloween-themed, it strikes us as odd that an even bigger emphasis is being made for the holiday season... not that we're complaining mind you as the 4/5 rated game is an absolute blast.

The latest update packs in three new characters (Ivan Helsing, Werewoof, and Merinda); new background themes; iCloud support (yay!); iPhone 5 and iOS 6 optimizations; and AI tweaks to smooth out the challenge.

Nightfall Adds Holiday-themed Cards and Goes On Sale

I love board games and in particular card-games are among my favorite - nothing makes for a great impromptu nerdy-night-in with friends like cracking out something equally competitive and amusing.

Although not 'amusing' per-se, Nightfall is most definitely competitive thanks to its hyper-aggressive play style that encourages and rewards quick, deadly decisions. Given its already monster-themed style it was only natural for the game to jump in on the holiday season with all new promotional cards unlocking as of this Monday (29th Oct).

Better still, if you haven't picked it up for yourself the game will be available for the low price of US$0.99, so check it out for yourself!
