Infestor infecting the App Store on Thursday

Ravenous Games, the developer behind the League of Evil series among other things, has announced that their next game, Infestor, will be squelching its way onto the App Store on the 17th of January.

Following in the footsteps of League of Evil, the game is a pixel-styled platformer. The twist here is that the green alien blob you control can't do everything on its own, so you need to infest characters dotted around the level in order to take over their bodies and use their special skills.

There are 60 levels for you to work your way through, and plenty of fiendish traps and puzzles for you to get past in each. Ravenous Games has a nack for creating bite sized, hardcore platforming adventures, and Infestor looks like it's not going to let the side down.

We've embedded a video below so you can check out the game in action (WARNING: May contain dubstep), and if you like what you see keep an eye out on the App Store on Thursday, when the game will be released for the special introductory price of just 99c.
