After the prestigious movie awards over the weekend, it's now the turn of the games industry in the UK to reward the movers and shakers of the last twelve months, and there's more than a few iOS games in the mix for the big prizes.

Chief amongst them is The Room, which is up for four awards - Artistic Achievement, Best British Game, Best Debut Game, and Best Mobile and Handheld game.

It's up against stiff competition in the Mobile and Handheld category from Incoboto, New Star Soccer, Super Monsters Ate My Condo, and The Walking Dead. As well as PS Vita title, Little Big Planet. Elsewhere, Terry Cavanagh's hectic and highly addictive Super Hexagon is up for Best British Game, and Simogo's eclectic Beat Sneak Bandit is up for Audio Achievement.

You can check out the full list of nominations by clicking here, and we'll let you know who wins what when the awards are announced next month.

The Room is an outstanding achievement - can't wait to see what they come up with next.
