Speed Kills hits the App Store running

Speed Kills is a top down racer, powered by the Unreal Engine, that harks back to the glory days of Micro Machines and Skid Marks with its violent, action packed, hard cornering gameplay. And you can grab it right now from the App Store for nothing at all.

The game features more than 100 races spread across 50 unique tracks, and fully upgradeable vehicles that can look like sleek futuristic rocket ships or post-apocalyptic death trucks. Throw in some weapons and you've got a recipe for destruction.

It certainly looks the part, and there's a pumping industrial rock soundtrack to make your ears bleed too. Getting the right balance of arcade handling and decent controls can be difficult on touch screen devices though, so it'll be interesting to see if Holy Warp, the developer, manages to pull it off.

You can pick up Speed Kills and find out for yourself by clicking here, or check out the video we've embedded below to give you an idea how high the octane bar in the game is set.
