Sonic Dash dashing onto iOS

It's fair to say that Sonic's modern adventures haven't been up to the same standards as his classic escapades. Well, Sega are looking to change that with Sonic Dash, a new endless runner featuring everyone's favourite anthropomorphic hedgehog.

The game is being developed by Hardlight Studios, the team behind Sonic Jump which is one of the better recent games to bear the blue speedster's moniker. We gave it a 4 in our review which you can read by clicking here.

Details are a little thin on the ground at the moment. We know it'll be an endless runner, we know at least some of it's going to be set in the Seaside Hill Zone, and we know that you'll be playing as Sonic. There's some mention of beating your friend's times in the press release too, so it's likely there are going to be leaderboards.

Sonic is the perfect fit for an endless runner, so hopefully this will be another mobile hit for the spiky legend. We'll keep you posted with a release date and any more details when they become available.
