Zynga and OMGPop have announced that Draw Something 2, the sequel to the smash hit game everyone stopped playing about a year ago, will be released in the not too distant future. And for some reason they announced it via Ryan Seacrest.

Seacrest took to twitter to post a picture he'd created using the new app, and shortly afterwards OMGPop CEO Dan Porter replied to that tweet, thanking Seacrest and confirming that the new game is on the way.

So far there are no details save what was included in those brief missives. Although according to Porter Draw Something 2 will feature new ways to “draw and connect”. Maybe you can use your elbows to doodle this time.

The original Draw Something was downloaded over 100 million times last year, but after a controversial sell off to Zynga user numbers dwindled away. No release date has been announced for this barely anticipated sequel, but we'll let you know when we hear anything.
