If you're the sort who likes to spend a good chunk of your time rolling dice and having pretend wars with your friends then this bit of business-y news is probably going to be quite interesting for you.

Roadhouse Interactive has announced that it's secured a deal with Games Workshop to produce a smartphone and tablet game set in the Warhammer 40K universe. It's not going to be the grand strategy title you might expect though.

Instead it'll be a side-scrolling action adventure that casts you as a lone Space Marine battling against a never-ending horde of Orks. Sounds to us like a twist on the endless runner with some massive weapons and splashes of gore thrown in.

Think the recent He-man game but with less hot pants and more space-fascism.

“We are incredibly excited to bring a part of Warhammer 40,000 to life on mobile and tablet and it’s great to work with Games Workshop. The legions of fans of Space Marines will now be able to fight the Ork menace while on the move!” said Tarnie Williams, co-founder and President of Roadhouse Interactive in a press release.

There's no word yet on a release date or platforms, but we'd be shocked and appalled if the new game didn't make it to iOS. We'll keep you updated as soon as we get any more details.
