If you grew up in the late eighties then you've probably got a soft spot for four mutated amphibians named after famous Italian painters. Well, they're seeing something of a resurgence at the moment thanks to a new animated series from Nickolodeon and an upcoming blockbuster movie reboot.

And now they're available on your iOS device in endless runner form. Based on the Nickolodeon cartoon, the game sees you choosing your favourite of the turtles and running through an endless city scape punching goons out of the way.

There's plenty of fan service going on, as you'd imagine, although we're not sure about the control system, which appears to use a single tap to do everything. Still, the idea of running across rooftops wielding a big sword and slicing ninjas to bits does sound appealing.

The game is out right now on the App Store and it'll set you back $1.99. You can grab it by clicking right here, or wait for our review to see if these Ninja Turtles are more chop than sucky.
