Last summer, Gameloft released a couple of superhero movie tie ins – The Amazing Spider-man and The Dark Knight Rises. While neither of them was spectacular, they were solid third person brawlers with a premium price point and a good chunk of heroic content for you to get your teeth into.

Fast forward to now and Iron Man 3 is the latest license that Gameloft has their hands on, but rather than building a similar free-roaming beat 'em up, they've turned Tony Stark's latest adventure into a free-to-play endless runner where you spend money on upgrading Iron Man's suits.

They've just released the first trailer – you'll find it embedded below – which shows what you can expect from the game. Shooting, flying, suit fixing, and one on one battles with laser spewing armoured assailants.

The game is slated for release on the 25th of April to coincide with the release of Iron Man's latest blockbusting adventure.
