House of the Dead: Overkill took the lightgun franchise into some brilliant new territory, infusing it with a 70's exploitation vibe and a lot more blood and gore. It's big, silly, and now there's a new version on iOS.

Called The Lost Reels, the game features the original cast of the Wii hit, and throws them into three stages of gory b-movie style violence. Shoot mutants, collect cash, and upgrade your weapons to become the best zombie slaughterer on the planet.

If you like your shooters grim and blood splattered, but not afraid to have a cheeky wink to the camera, then House of the Dead: Overkill The Lost Reels is likely to be right up your alley. Throw in a survival mode and three different control schemes and you're laughing.

The game should be available soon from the App Store for $6.49.
