Tunnel-runner Octagon rolls onto the App Store tonight

Regular readers might remember 3D auto-runner Boson X from its AppSpy review a few months back.

If you do, then the trailer (below) for Octagon, the tunnel-based auto-runner from developer Lukas Korba, might look oddly familiar.

Just like Boson X, Octagon has you tapping either side of the screen to move your avatar around the interior of a tunnel in an effort to keep it on solid ground.

Unlike the scientifically-themed Boson X, however, this geometric arcade title puts you in charge of a rolling octagon instead of a sprinting professor.

Though there are a few of these tunner-runners around, they can be great fun when executed correctly. This one certainly looks bright, colourful, and loud, but we'll have to wait until it hits the App Store to find out whether it can hold a candle to its peers.

Luckily, as Octagon is out at midnight tonight, we won't have to wait too long. If you're interested, it'll cost you £1.49 / $1.99.
