Get ready to punch a hole in time itself.

The first three entries in classic arcade brawler series Double Dragon are now available on the App Store.

Titled Double Dragon Trilogy, this bundle from port master DotEmu reunites you with sleeveless martial artist siblings Billy and Jimmy, and invites you to batter your way though waves of violent street punks in the hope of saving Billy's kidnapped girlfriend.

This three-game pack comes with options aplenty. You can choose between three difficulty modes, including one specifically tailored to touchscreen play.

There's a Story mode which lets you unlock stages as you progress, or an Arcade mode for those want to try and beat the game in a single sitting.

You can even choose whether you want to listen to the original 8-bit soundtrack, or chain-whip thugs to a collection of newly remastered tunes.

"But what about multiplayer?" I hear you cry. Luckily, DotEmu has provided support for two-player coop, provided both players are within Bluetooth range. And, if you're not feeling the touchscreen controls, you can dish out street justice using one of those new-fangled iOS controllers.

Fans of retro fighting games can download Double Dragon Trilogy from the App Store for £1.99 / $2.99 right now.
