Be attracted - or repulsed - by the brutal mazes of Magnetized

You know that bit in the first Batman movie when the Batman fires a grappling hook from the side of the Batmobile so that hooks around a vertical girder, thereby allowing the vehicle to zoom around a corner at full speed?

Well, imagine the Batmobile is a black block, and the grappling hook is a visible strand of pure magnetism. Are you doing it? If you are, then you should have a pretty good idea how Macca Cloud's new maze-based puzzler Magnetized works.

Each level begins with the hero block flying straight down a neon corridor. There are magnetic blocks dotted around the 80 mazes, each of which can be triggered by holding your finger to the screen.

You can only activate one magnet at a time, and only ever the magnet nearest the flying block. By using these magnets to change the trajectory of the block, you have to guide it to the end of the maze without it touching a single wall.

If the trailer above makes Magentized look like a piece of cake, don't be fooled. We've played it, and can assure it's tough as nails. Once you clear the first few levels, you need perfect timing to ensure you don't send your oversized pixel scudding into a wall by accident.

And, once you've died the first 100 times, you'll need perfect self-control to ensure you don't send your iPhone scudding into a wall in rage.

If you think you're feeling attracted to Magnetized, then you can download it for £1.99 / $2.99 from the App Store right now.
