Gameloft will be releasing the official mobile tie in to upcoming Marvel movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2 this April.

The new game, in which Spidey faces off against new villains Electro and The Rhino, will play out in an open world Manhattan. Though it appears to be based on the same foundations as the 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man game, Gameloft says it has expanded the city, and improved the visuals.

You'll also get to go toe-to-toe with a bunch of new villains, and experiment with some extra combos and special moves. 

To be honest, we weren't blown away by the last Spider-Man game, which failed to live up to the surprisingly enjoyable Spider-Man: Total Mayhem. We'll have to wait until April to find out whether this new game can deliver the web-slinging goods.
