Tabasco Interactive is set to release space shooter Star Horizon on the App Store, where it will be available to buy for £2.49 / $3.99 ftom midnight tonight.

The game puts you in charge of John, a soldier of the Federation. The faction has been locked in war with the Rebels, who are desperately trying to to sever their connection with this galaxy-governing body.

When a battle goes awry and the Mothership is destroyed, John is put into hibernation for 1000 years by his spaceship's AI, Ellie. When he wakes up, John must discover what happened, and choose a side to fight for as he battles to save the galaxy.

Star Horizon is a fully-3D space shooter with some gorgeous visuals and impressive-looking battles. You'll be shooting lasers, weaving your way past enemy fire and obstacles, and doing barrel rolls like its 1993.

Your spaceship and weapons are upgradable, so you can tailor vessel and arsenal to suit your play-style.

Can't wait till midnight to see Star Horizon in action? Fear not, as we've taken the liberty of posting a trailer (above) so you can see the gameplay in all its glory.
