AppSpy Plays: Star Horizon (Twitch catch-up)

In case you missed out on our regular AppSpy Plays live stream last Friday, we’ve brought it back to life using modern technology on our YouTube channel (oh, and below too).

On-rails sci-Fi shooter Star Horizon received a 4 out of 5 in our review last week. So, having not played it personally, Peter and I planted ourselves firmly in front of it to see what this looker could do.

There was barrel-rolling, betraying, blame for one-starring missions and a trench run that looked awfully familiar...

We had a great turnout for the live stream, taking some much appreciated advice from onlookers, including developer Tabasco Interactive who joined us in the chatroom.

Aside from our regular 'ooh... pretty' comments we discussed whether Star Wars Episodes I-III were any good, lens flare and bloom all whilst (trying to) avoid lasers and neutralising space baddies.

Remember, we streaa new release forAppSpy Plays every Friday at 5pm BST / 9am PDT / 12pm EDT, so pop over to our Twitch channel and subscribe so you get a handy reminder whenever we’re going live.

Freespace 2 on IOS thats what I want to see, and homeworld 2, just don't think you could ever port the controls over though as they both heavily use the keyboard.

Homeworld ... :0

That'd be a fantastic game to have on mobile (assuming it isn't swarmed with IAPs or Freemium crap).

Yes that would of course suck, I think a dev would have to put in a suitable amount of effort to make it controllable, on the iPad, It does lend itself to an iPad though, you could just have command buttons around the edge of the screen, maybe that minimise when not in use? Sure you could make it work!

I'd love to see a game as flashy and active as this as a free-roam thing-- similar to Star Batallion.
