Target Acquired takes a Buster Shot at Kickstarter, game is being worked on by Square Enix and Capcom talent

Target Acquired is a combination of an auto-runner like Canabalt, and a shooter like Mega Man, which sounds like a pretty good combination to me.

Through the development process the developer TouchTen has had the creative input of Ryo Teruya (one-time CEO at Square Enix), but perhaps more important for that Mega Man feel is that it's also got a soundtrack composed by Manami Matsumae (a veteran Mega Man composer, as well as having worked on Contra and Derby Stallion).

TouchTen is launching its Kickstarter campaign today to help get it funded. Here's the video.
