Nimblebit reveals the first images of Tiny Tower Vegas
A flurry of tweets yesterday from Nimblebit’s Ian Marsh has revealed that the studio’s next game will be Tiny Tower Vegas. The images, which were shared yesterday, show a reimagined version of Tiny Tower stuffed full of slot machines and high rollers. The most exciting addition, however, are the casino inspired mini-games, which look destined to hook in players who like shaking hands with the one-armed bandit. At first blush, Suited-Up looks a bit naff. The visuals are pretty basic, and the platforming doesn't look like it'll be all too exciting. But it's actually pretty rad when you're playing it: it's a hardcore one button game, with a sizeable amount of content, lots of content creation tools, and plenty of opportunities to shout swears at your iOS device. Gravity-inverting platformer VVVVVV is on its way to the App Store
Developer Terry Cavanagh's gravity-defying platformer VVVVVV is finally making its way to iOS. According to the developer's blog, the iOS port of his retro platformer has actually been 90% complete for some time, he just hadn't gotten around to perfecting the touchscreen controls. In a platformer an exacting as VVVVVV, controls could make or break a port. The video below shows that we probably shouldn’t worry, however, as Terry shows off the new interface through one of the hardest sections of the game, Veni, Vidi, Vici.
