Ace of Arenas landed on the App Store and Google Play back in September 2015, and since then five major updates have been released, adding a ton of new content to the game.

To give you an idea of what you can expect should you return to this sensational mobile MOBA, we've picked the best three new features and detailed them below. Aren't we nice.

All new modes

If you're into your variety of different playstyles, then you'll appreciate the number of new modes which have been included since launch.

Competitive players will most enjoy the 3v3, 5v5, and Ranked Modes which include a higher level of strategy than the others and allow you to climb the leaderboards right to top of the server.

If you're more into fast-paced frantic fun, then Fast and Furious Mode will more take your fancy. This is played on the Timeless Enclave map, on which you'll find super buffs and a bonus to your movement speed.

Finally, there's Spectator Mode. Here you can simply enjoy watching others play the game and pick up some new strategies in the process.

More champions

There are an absolute ton of champions in Ace of Arenas now - 54 to be exact.

You can also customise every single one of them with unique skins, abilities, and weapons to ensure they match your own personal flavour.

Better social play

Multiplayer is the name of the game in MOBAs (it's in the title) so Gaea Mobile has kindly improved drastically on the social features.

You can now join or start a clan and team up with your friends in high level ranked battles to determine who the best of the best is.

To get there, you need to be organised though, so a signalling system has been included which allows you to communicate tactics on the fly during a battle. It's very handy.

There's greater incentive to play together now as well, as you can complete a set of tasks geared towards social play to earn rewards like the Legacy Musaya Skin.

Rounding up the improvements is a new share button which lets you, well, share your successes and failures with your friends on social media.

Wait, there's more!

Gaea Mobile isn't quite done with Ace of Arenas yet, mind, as a raft of new features have been planned for 2016.

Of course, there'll be a bunch of new champions and optimisations, but you'll likely be more excited to hear about the eSports-focused Pro League making its way over, along with a selection of new tournaments.

If you'd like to practice up before these hit, head on over to the App Store or Google Play right now to check it out.
