Ragdoll Blaster 3 Review
If you can't beat'em, join'em - it seems to be a rallying cry for many titles of late and so it's no surprise to see Ragdoll Blaster 3, the latest release in Backflip Studios' flagship games, joining the 'cute and cuddly' revolution. We won't blame them though because the upside is the addition of four new 'ragdolls', each with their own unique skills to add to the game's already fun physics gameplay. One thing the shift from a stylized design to a friendlier 'cute' motif has changed ...
Friday News Wrap-Up 3 February 2012
For those who missed out on the tweets, I was on a personal holiday last week. To cover the time lost I had to queue up content, but the unfortunate side-effect of this is a huge pile of emails, upcoming releases and reviews to barrel my way through now I'm back in the office. I can't say I'm super disappointed though as this week was a real joy, but we'll get to that soon.
For now lets touch base with the news for our Friday Wrap-Up for the 3rd of February, 2012.
Team Meat + iOS == ???
You may need to throw this one on to the rumor pile, but in a recent interview with IndieGames.com, Super Meat Boy creators Team Meat mentioned that 'the next game will probab... Read More
NFL Rivals Review
Are you ready for some football? At least the most exciting part? That would be the tackles and touchdowns by the way. Yes it seems that Natural Motion has acquired the rights to the NFL license and have re-skinned their Backbreaker franchise to take advantage of not only the real teams, but the rivalries and match-ups of the upcoming season. If you're played any of the Backbreaker games, you should be familiar with the controls. Tilting the iPhone moves your player either left, right...
Torture Bunny Review
This review begins with a disclaimer. If a game where you use various instruments to torture a helpless rabbit for a high score sounds awful to you, you may want to stop right here. For those of you interested or amused by this concept, Torture Bunny by Clickgamer may satisfy those dark urges within. Torture Bunny is a ragdoll physics game with a hint of strategy thrown in. There is a bunny in a cage hanging high above the ground. When you press go, he is released, and plummets to his...

Tunnel Shoot Pro Review
Tunnel Shoot by Backflip Studios - of Ragdoll Blaster and Paper Toss fame - is their latest App to be pushed out in to the big bad world. As you'd expect a lot of shooting inside a tunnel is what you get, but players will also be subjected to high-speeds and plenty of obstacles to avoid while making a run for their high score. Controlling your ship is as easy as tilting to move around the tunnel, while tapping and holding fires your weapons and double-touching launches your bombs. Eac...

Ragdoll Blaster 2 Review
Ragdoll Blaster was a really fun game by Backflip Studios. Trying to shoot ragdolls out of cannons into a target in as few shots as possible made for some clever level design and addictive gameplay. Well, the sequel is upon us, and the goal is the same. The question is have they expanded upon the idea enough to warrant an entirely new game? Control is just like the first. Touch the screen to shoot the cannon. The power of the shot is determined by how close or far away from the cannon...

Zombie Cannon Carnage Review
Zombies from outer space have crash landed on Earth! Luckily they want to go home and have built a giant cannon to launch them back into space. This ridiculous premise of Zombie Cannon Carnage is the narrative drape over a game where you shoot a zombie out of a cannon with the intent to cause the most damage possible. To aim the cannon drag your finger along the screen, and press the button to fire. While in the air, you can tilt your iphone for direction, use a jetpack for extra thru...
Daredevil Dave: Motorcycle Stuntman Trailer
M-Digital has released a trailer for their upcoming iPhone Stuntman Game; Daredevil Dave: Motorcycle Stuntman. I'm not sure which part I will enjoy more, clearing the many obstacles (shark tanks, school buses, lava pits, and so forth), or breaking every bone in Dave's body and watching the ragdoll physics put on a hilarious show. There will be a choice of two gameplay modes; how well you can perform the stunt, or how badly you can fail. Such a choice.
Check out the Trailer:

Stair Dismount Universal Review
Pushing someone down a flight of stairs is dangerous and not recommended. In the case of Stair Dismount, it's not only acceptable, it's your objective. The more bones you break and injuries you cause, the more points you score. Of course it's only a dummy, so don't try this at home. The controls are fairly straight forward: position an arrow on the dummy as your "push zone" and then click the large button when the meter reaches the strength you want to use. This will send your ragdoll...
