Sometimes you're only after something simple to while away your spare time and Red Devil by hare might just be the puzzle platformer for you if you need a quick time-killer.

Armed with little more than directional buttons and a jump key, you'll need to solve 20 currently available levels in order to complete the game. Everything including your character is subjected to forces that can result in being pushed and pulled around the screen and if you're not careful the simple act of a moving platform changing directions can leave you spinning down in to a fiery pit. The challenges aren't overly complicated in most of the levels, though each challenge is designed to be as unique as possible from the previous challenge to keep players invested in the game. Checkpoints also help to restart players from positions right before challenging platforming sequences.

The artwork is simple, clean and cartoonish, though it lacks a lot of life, with animations tending to be left to the bare mechanics of the physics engine rolling objects around.

Red Devil is a relatively spartan title that holds itself together long enough to get players through its content, but is shortly forgotten soon after. Worth grabbing if you're after something quick, fun and simple, but it won't last forever.
