PROS
- Incredibly moody atmosphere.
- Brings the running genre into the first person.
CONS
- Imprecise controls.
- Sound effect for collecting stars not audible enough.
VERDICT
Another good running game, this time using a first person perspective. Imprecise controls cause it to fall a little short of greatness.

Dreams are funny things. More often then not they're a beautiful form of escapism that adds an addictive quality to the daily rest our bodies require, but often these sweet dreams can turn into horrific nightmares, and that's basically the tale of Requiem. A small boy dreams of being chased by a bull from the bowels of hell itself, and only your quick reflexes can save him.
Requiem is split up into levels that have you fleeing from the bull, avoiding obstacles, and trying to make it to the Pegasus at the end who whisks you off to safety... before the bull spooks it, dropping you off at the the next level. On your way you have to jump over and duck under obstacles, sprint to stay out of the bull's reach and collect stars and secret items to unlock bonus levels. This is made tricky by the imprecise controls. Kudos to the developer for making a running game in a first person perspective, but the lack of control especially when jumping can make for a frustrating experience, especially in later levels when precision jumping is required.
Visually Requiem is very competent. The alleys you find yourself running down are dark and foreboding and the animations that punctuate the beginning and ending of the levels are well executed. Together with the moody soundtrack, the game presents an eerie atmosphere. Not altogether spooky, but unsettling, giving you a constant sense of unease.
As games in the running genre go, Requiem is a solid effort. Each level throws some more twists and turns at you and for those who find the game a little easy, the advanced mode with a speedier bull will have you questioning your decisions. With some fine-turning of the controls this game could be fantastic, but ultimately it falls just short of the Pegasus flying it to victory.

I have to say that i disagree with this reviewer.... he complains about the controls, yet in his video, it looks to me like he's doin just fine... This is an amazing game, that deserves WAY more than a 3.5! this game is a 4.5 and 5 star easily! There are great things to come from this dev! I can't wait to see more!

This reviewer couldn't have been further from the truth with the line "falls just short of the Pegasus flying it to victory."
This game is by far the best on the App Store which is flooded with a lot of games not nearly as good for more money.
The cotrols took me about 5 minutes of getting used to and that is without running the tutorial that the developers added to the game. Once I decided to check that out I could have svaed myself a few minutes of figuring controls out.
The controls are very well put together and from what I have seen this reviewer didn't play the game much.
I highly recommend this app to anyone. Great game!
