VERDICT

This is a fun little time waster. It might not have long lasting appeal, but a good effort for what it is.

Who hasn't wanted to launch a sheep into the air? Well Sheep Launcher Plus makes that wish come true. After the initial launch, it's your job to keep that sheep flying towards the stars for as long as you can.

Keep the sheep afloat happens by continually tapping it. As it flies through the air, the sheep collects stars that add to your score, and there a few powerups as well. These range from pillows that give you a free fall, to helium that blows your sheep up like a balloon, making it float for a while.

Aside from a sheep, you can also choose between a pig and a frog. All the characters are nicely drawn, and give a chuckle when they fly up, or puff up with the effects of helium. The sound effects are amusing, but the bell sound when you collect stars can get on your nerves fast. High scores are saved on the iPhone and can be submitted to a worldwide table.

Sheep Launcher Plus is an amusing diversion. It's fun to see how high you can get your animal of choice, but there's not enough variation to the gameplay to keep you playing over and over again. Grab the demo and see what you think.
