What happens when you take a tilting game like Starball and mix it with the powerups and enemy mayhem of the shmup genre? You get Tilt to Live, that's what! The screen is open to you. Tilt your ship to avoid the red balls while acquiring powerups to destory them, because if one hits you, it's game over. How long can you last?

The tilt controls are phenomenal, and with a game like this, you'd hope they would be. The game starts you off with three powerups, an explosion, homing missles, and a purple wave of death. Other more excessive weaponry can be unlocked as you play, some with devastating effects.

Graphically the game is quite simple but stylish. The background is vibrant, and your ship, the enemy, and the powerups are all easily distinguishable, with the weapon special effects being very impressive. The sound is minimal and the music is very upbeat. The main game mode is all there is, but with achievements, unlockables, and Agon support, there's plenty to do.

Tilt to Live is a very addictive high score game with good presentation. The controls and over the top weapons make it a joy to play, and to keep coming back to.

I agree on the fact the difficulty ramps up but once you get good enough you completely forget about it. Also there have been many updates which make it now have 4 different modes and new weapons. This IS my favourite ipod/iphone game and I don't know why it isn't in the top ten despite all the good comments and reviews its got. Maybe its not populer enough but it really deserves it.

This game is so much fun. It is difficult but they constantly give you something to strive for. Love it
