  • Leaderboard and highscore options available.
  • iPod compatibility during play is always good.
  • The game has some potential that patient players may find.

  • The jerky graphics are quite ugly.
  • Controls have a steep learning curve and are hard to use.
  • The game consists of the same indoor level for each track.

RC Heli is a harsh game to play. There are some good elements in here, but until some of the main issues are addressed, this game is not worth the current price.

RC Heli is a racing game where players take control of an RC helicopter and fly around a series of tracks inside of a house. Players must navigate the different rooms and collect the various gold coins scattered around the house in order complete the race.

Players control their RC helicopter by using two levers in the bottom corners of the screen. The left lever moves the helicopter up and down, while the right lever rotates the helicopter side to side and also changes the incline of the helicopter. All three controls must be used together in order to control your helicopter and make your way through the race tracks.

The 3D visuals are quite clunky and not at all pleasing to look at. The game is limited to sound effects only, but players can use their iPod during gameplay. The game is single player only, but players can choose between two single player modes; race and free flight. Free flight is a causal explore mode and has no real objectives. But race mode has players zipping around the house for the quickest lap time, which can be submitted to the global leaderboards post race.

Ultimately, RC Heli is a title has some potential but isn’t there quite there yet. The choppy visuals and difficult controls scheme holds the game back and makes it a hassle to play. This game seems like it needs some work and a few more updates, but if these issues are addressed, then there’s hope for RC Heli after all.
