- This port is true to the original in practically every way.
- Humorous game dialog and writing from two former Spongebob Squarepants writers, Jay Lender and Micah Wright.
- The game’s visuals are close to, if not matched, to the DS visuals.
- The controls take a little getting used to, mainly as normal units cannot be moved without the action beacon.
- The game doesn’t have a continue option, so if you exit the app you’ll have to start the level all over again.
Robocalypse is a worthwhile RTS game with plenty of humour and enjoyable gameplay options to keep you busy for hours to come.

Robocalypse – Mobile Mayhem is a new port of the Nintendo DS Real Time Strategy game Robocalypse. When an industrial accident occurs in a toaster/military robot factory, the robots begin their revolt to take over the world. You play as Myron, computer programmer extraordinaire; as he tries to stop these evil robots by implanting the brain scans of WWII Veterans into new robots to create humanity's only chance for survival.
Players control their units using the iPhone touch screen interface. You’ll need to quickly build an army and base of operations for each level. Your hero units are the only ones that can be moved at will, and all other normal troopers require you to place an action beacon to move them.
The visuals are very well done and look on par with the DS release. Another nice visual feature is that the game can switch portrait and landscape displays by turning the iPhone. The sound quality has been improved from the original and sounds great through the iPhone speakers. The game features two game modes: story campaign and multiplayer, where players can verse a friend or the computer AI.
Robocalypse – Mobile Mayhem is a great RTS game and offers the same exciting and humorous gameplay of the DS version but at a significantly cheaper cost. The only issue with the game is that levels don’t continue if you exit the application. But lack of continues aside, the game is a lot of fun and a solid choice if you’re a fan of the original or RTS games in general.
DescriptionRobocalypse is back and finally working on iPhone 4. That took a lot longer than we anticipated so we're dropping the price to only .99! Pick it up now before the sale is over.
