Chop Chop Runner is the latest in the Chop Chop series from Gamerizon and has a lot to live up to after their first release, Ninja. Once again the defining aspect of this series seems to be great single-touch controls that keep gameplay fast while intuitively allowing players to carve up the screen in typical ninja-fashion.

If you've played popular running games like Canabalt then you'll be able to jump straight in. Gameplay is quick and addictive - a true hallmark of the genre - once again only requiring simple touches to control when and how high your ninja jumps. A unique feature of the game is the ability to attack enemies as you run and like Chop Chop Ninja these attacks can be used to cross gaps or create combos that make you feel like a supernatural being. Obstacles including explosive barrels that fling you offscreen add variety and complexity to your runs.

The artwork hasn't overgone much of an overhaul since the previous game in the series, retaining its thick-outlined, colorful cartoonish style. The music has a great rhythmic beat, but for longer sessions you can queue up tracks in iTunes instead. High-score boards are available for both distance and kills.

Chop Chop Runner keeps a lot of the charm and polished control design that made its predecessor so great. While there's currently not a lot of room for competitors in the runner genre, but this is definitely a game worthwhile choosing as your go to endless game.
