Trivial Pursuit is a port of the popular board game for the iPhone. Players move around the game board answering questions in different categories in order to earn wedges for their game piece. The first person to get all 6 categories right and earn all wedges wins the game.

The controls are easy, everything is controlled by tapping on the screen. Players can tap or shake their iPhone to roll the dice and again tap to choose the direction of movement. The games questions are presented to players with three multiple choice answers, which makes gameplay easier and more user friendly.

The visuals are well done; the game board and pieces are presented in 3D and a number of questions now incorporate images, freshening up the gameplay. The game’s sound is also well done, but players also have the option to use their iPod if they like. There are a ton of different gameplay options varying from the classic game verses the computer, local pass and play, Wi-fi play and a single player challenge mode.

This new version of Trivial Pursuit is a lot of fun and is a must have for anyone who enjoyed playing the board game. The multitude of gameplay options, user friendly gameplay and updated game questions make this a very enjoyable gameplay experience. But if question and answer games aren’t your idea of fun, then you may want to consider a different game.
