Nut Chuckin’ is an action game where players take control of Risoo the squirrel as he must defend his tree from other invading squirrels. The gameplay is similar to dodge ball, in that players must catch other thrown nuts and throw them back at enemy squirrels to knock them out of the tree.

Players control Risoo in two ways, they can tilt the iPhone to make him run and dodge thrown nuts and they can tap on incoming nuts to catch them and then throw them back. The controls are easy use and allow players to quickly dodge a barrage of nuts or catch one and wait for the right time to attack.

The fully 3D visuals look great and the animations are very fluid. There is also a diversity in squirrel appearances and personalities, which adds to the fun of knocking them out of your tree. The sound is humorous and a lot of fun when enemy squirrels squeal as they get knocked out of the tree. This is currently a single player game with no leaderboard options, but levels can be repeated for a better score.

Nut Chuckin’ is a game for people who enjoy games like Snowball Fight. The concept is original and makes for some fun gameplay. And while there’s only one main game mode, players are free to repeat levels and improve on their previous scores. Overall, Nut Chuckin’ is a well polished title with both satisfying and addictive gameplay that will bring players back for more.
