Pac-Man is a game that needs no introduction. One of, if not the most recognised arcade titles of all time has made its way onto the iPhone. This port is the same as the classic arcade versions and your goal is still to eat the dots, collect fruit and avoid the ghosts to max out your highscore.

You can control Pac-Man in three ways. By swiping your finger in the direction you want him to move, using a d-pad at the bottom of the screen or by leaning and tilting the iPhone to direct him. Players are free to choose whichever scheme suits them and each works equally as well on the iPhone.

The visuals and sound are the same as they've always been. And players are able to use their iPod during gameplay as well, with no loss of sound effects. The game features the main arcade mode and local highscore options only. There are no online leaderboards.

This port of Pac-man for the iPhone plays exactly as it would on arcades. The control options handle well and players are able to continue their game from where the left off if the application is quit. It is a little disappointing to see there are no online leaderboard options, and unfortunately the gameplay remains to be a bit repetitive. But if you are a fan of Pac-Man then this is a solid port of the original and well worth a look at.
