VERDICT

It's definitely worth keeping an eye on Free Fallers as the concept is simple, yet fun, but until subsequent updates add more variety it can get stale quickly.

I love it when a game makes me smile and Free Fallers by ChilliJuice definitely managed to eke out of this stoney-faced and jaded gamer, so it can't be all that bad right? OK, so I'm not THAT jaded, but who doesn't find the idea of free-falling animals diving on to construction vehicles ludicrous enough to enjoy? Certainly not this reviewer.

Tigers, pandas and elephants have decided to take the Eco-war in to their own hands and are attempting to crush every bulldozer and trench digger they can manage to fall on. In each of the eight currently available levels you'll need to aim the sky-diving animals after deploying their parachutes by drawing a path to follow avoiding collisions with each other where possible.

After reading the introductory comic I would have expected a bit more effort to go in to the game's design as its cartoonish design is functional, but certainly lacking in flair to make the game more exciting to look at. However this isn't quite as upsetting as the lack of indicators to help players make informed decisions about which animal to use on each vehicle as bonus points are awarded for crushing vehicles precisely based off the damage each animal represents.

Gameplay is also fairly bland, with each level speeding up the action, but providing little additional challenge so it's great to hear that ChilliJuice are working on updates to add unique features to the three environments and even power-ups for a bit of a twist. A fun line-drawer with potential to be much better in time.
