In a show of good will, developer Snow Day Games have released their latest game 'Fly Vs. Car' with the promise that half of their profits will be going to the Child's Play Charity. It's a noble idea and hopefully not the last attempt at supporting this great cause, but you may need to be feeling extremely charitable to get on-board.

In this game, players can control a fly by tilting the screen left and right and must avoid cars that regularly blitz their way down the highway. It's a simple affair and if luck is on your side it's almost a relaxing experience, lazily lilting your way around the highway. Unfortunately, things don't always go your way and if you're unfortunate enough to encounter two cars at the same time you'd better hope your snap judgment and reflexes are ready to pick up the slack. Despite a clear difference in perceived velocity it's extremely difficult to shoot 'through the gap' created in the split second that one car leaves the screen.

Fly Vs. Car is visually simplistic and makes use of a selection of basic digitally drawn artwork. The cars themselves are decent enough, but watching them scale in size from the distance is not a pretty effect. More attention has been put in to the sound-effects, however the addition of a basic background music ditty would have helped to establish a rhythm to work from.

Snow Day Games have their heart in the right place, but you'd have to be a saint to purchase Fly Vs. Car with the intent of enjoying its gameplay.
