In a somewhat odd turn for The Binary Mill, the publisher has adapted the wildly popular free Flash title 'A Bloody Fun Day!' by Urban Squall for the App Store. In this addictive title you play as a 'Reaper', harvesting the souls of hapless 'Cuties' with no other goal than to continue on your bloody rampage for as long as possible.

Gameplay is set on a small hexagonal grid and players can move their reaper one space at a time with a tap, harvesting one of several different colored souls based on the Cutie they target and subsequently all connected Cuties of the same color. These are then replaced by eggs that slowly hatch over time to continually replace the field. Powers can be activated depending on how many souls of a certain color you've collected, while red Cuties will need to be absorbed to keep your constantly depleting health from causing a game over.

The iPhone version suffers somewhat in displaying the full grid along with all of the necessary interface elements required to help your reaper on his (or her) way. This results in tiny buttons that are often hard to select, however this seems to be a problem that also plagues selecting grid spots as well. The general background music also seems to be currently bugged and blares only out the left-channel.

Fans of 'A Bloody Fun Day!' will want to stick to the Flash version, however much of what makes this game entirely addictive has still survived, making it a hard game to entirely ignore.
