If you've got a steady hand, a bucket-load of patience and a penchant for impossible physics based platforming, then Aerox by Synoptical Studios is the game for you. For everyone else, it's an interesting tilt-controlled platformer that boasts intuitive controls and clever physics that challenge your skills while providing a feast for the eyes.

The tilt controls automatically zero based on how you're holding your device at the time the level starts, which is perfect when you're prepared for it, but can cause some calibration issues if you're not steady. Once you're in the game your ball will quickly and sharply roll, turn and slide in the directions you tilt and touching the screen allows you to lock the camera for precise strafing movement. There are currently thirty levels to conquer and things quickly start to get complicated, forcing players to manipulate the environment and make use of their ball's odd unique physics to continue on their path.

Aerox's visuals are bright and clean, with soft modern platforms and designs that pair well with the ball's shiny reflective surface, however it does start to feel sterile after a while.

Completing the currently available levels is no easy task, but for those who do power on through the developer has promised that future updates will remain free. Aerox is definitely a title worth checking out if you're a fan of tilt-based balancing titles.
