Space Balls by Sauce Digital is a new physics puzzle title where you'll have to bounce balls around space in order to capture your foes the 'Cuboids' before they escape with your sacred Ultramegasphere. Despite the lack of creativity in the title, Space Balls is a seriously challenging and unique experience that plays much like a whacky version of trick-shot snooker.

Players are given the ability to select between a variety of different orbs, each with their own unique properties, to subsequently fire around each level's set of obstacles. The cannon can be moved and aimed via swipes at the bottom of the screen, with two highlighted zones separating each function. Once you're set you can hold down the 'fire' button, stopping at a power level that's appropriate for your shot and then watching the fall out before taking aim again. While there are some fairly obvious solutions to the puzzles, the physics engine also allows for some unique solutions if you can exploit various trick-shots through gravity fields or odd angles.

The visuals continue the somewhat odd-ball feel of the game, with cartoonish, angular designs to represent various hazards. Other clever additions help to soften the difficulty by leaving trails behind fired orbs and saving the last power-level used so fine-tuned tweaks can be made.

Space Balls isn't an easy game and with so many levels on offer it's sure to keep you busy for a while, so if you're a puzzle fan after a good bargain, this is for you.
