- Interesting attempt to blend multiple characters and stories.
- Relatively true to the series.
- Painfully slow gameplay.
- Bad character positioning.
- Weird weapon limitations.
Boondock Saints Mobile Game may have the right idea with its split story design, but the gameplay is so slow and silly that it ruins the experience entirely.

Boondock Saints Mobile Game isn't so much a movie-to-game title as it is a game associated with a film. That's my subtle way of trying to cover my eyes and ears and hope that this game was some sort of mistake. If you haven't given yourself over to the magic that is The Boondock Saints, then I wholly recommend you go and watch the film now. For those of you that stayed you're going to have a slightly less pleasant experience.
This title is ostensibly a twin-stick shooter, though the sluggish pace at which enemies close up to you and the speed at which you move and fire suck all the energy out of the fights immediately. Players will have the chance to play as Connor, Murphy, Noah and yes even Romeo, and each of them pack a unique set of weapons, though they all tend to boil down to an extra pistol, shotgun and automatic weapon. Occasionally enemies will drop ammunition and other weapons like molotovs, though there's no real rhyme or reason to who drops what.
Given the slow pace you'd also think it'd be hard to take much damage - I mean you're a pistol toting hard-arse professional killer - but enemies regularly avoid damage thanks to shots disappearing a few feet from your character, meanwhile you get half your health bar depleted by someone with a pipe swinging it from 6 feet away.
Perhaps the only saving grace is that it remains faithful to the characters, but the thin gameplay ruins any gravity brought by the story; spend your time watching the film again instead of playing 'Boondock Saints Mobile Game'.
