Outside of a few exceptions it has been hard to find a lot of line-drawing titles to be impressive thanks in part to their similarity. LawnMowerKids is one of these exceptions and instead of shuffling vehicles around to various stations you'll need to manage three kids as they take on the task of keeping the neighborhood tidy, one lawn at a time.

Each of the kids feature unique traits that will help you to mow the lawns more efficiently, with Nancy mowing the largest area at the slowest speed on her rabid-pet immune ride-on mower; Tim strikes the middle-ground with his motor-mower and can easily placate angry residents; and finally Tom with all his speedy energy zips about with a small push-powered mower that can avoid obstacles with ease. Dragging the kids defines a path to take across the lawn, however various hazards including pets and playful children can get in the way and cost you precious time.

The game is set in a top-down perspective with sprites and environments that have been rendered in 3D and flattened to 2D. This has an odd visual effect as it combines semi-realistic environments with cartoonish character designs, but it also makes for varied areas that quickly become challenging to master.

LawnMowerKids isn't without flaws and for a line-drawing style game it can be hard to get the game to smoothly recognize the paths you are drawing, but once you're familiarized with the speed of each kid you'll be able to micro-manage them to minimize the need for huge paths. Definitely a unique challenge for those after something fun and out of the ordinary.
