As a long-time fan of the Assassin's Creed series, I've been eagerly awaiting another really strong mobile tie-in game since the rather smashing Assassin's Creed Pirates. Ubisoft has added yet more content to Assassin's Creed Pirates, this time with the Freedom update. The update brings with it a wealth of riches, but the biggest haul is a new chapter appendix. This additional mission has you destroying the jail fortress in La Isla de la Juventud in order to free slaves and unlock an exclusive bonus. An improved daily reward system also lets you gain increasingly valuable treasures for repeat visits to the game. Maze Theory and BBC Studios are releasing a new Doctor Who game in March, taking on the form of a found footage mobile game called Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins. It’s coming to iOS and Android on 19th March. The game is about finding a lost phone where your character has found a phone with various chat logs and apps to search for clues surrounding the mystery of what is happening. Ubisoft has just announced that Assassin's Creed Pirates, its seafaring iOS tie-in to console release Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, will drop anchor in App Store waters on December 5th. Being a pirate ain't all sword fighting and rum, you know. Sometimes you have to get down to the messy stuff – whale hunting, that were the real money is. Luckily, Ubisoft has just released an update to Assassin's Creed Pirates which adds whale hunting to the navel warfare gameplay. As well as letting you harpoon the gentle giants of the deep, the update also brings a handful of other new features.
