The top 5 best iPhone, iPad, and Android games of 2014

By , on January 1, 2015

Here we are then: a brand new year. 2015. Twenty fifteen. Two, zero, one, five. I'm pretty sure we were promised personal jetpacks and hoverboards by now.

Anyway, 2014 was one heck of a year for mobile and tablet gaming, and AppSpy was there to cover it all, bringing you all the video coverage you'd ever need for the whacky world of iOS and Android gaming. A world where space marines do battle, futuristic spacecraft race at thousands of miles per hour, sick skateboarding tricks are landed, and animals turn into real boys you can go on dates with.

But what were the very best titles of 2014?

Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, AppSpy's top 5 games of the year...

From myself and the team here at AppSpy, we'd like to say a massive "thank you" to everyone who has read the site, watched our videos, and joined us for a stream in 2014. A huge high five to everyone that's following us on Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. And great big bear hugs go out to the AppSpy regulars - you know who you are. It's you who make AppSpy the wonderful place it is.

2015 is going to be an amazing ride, we hope you all come with us.

Great list! Really enjoyed Hitman Go and Monument Valley. And loved the hours of gaming we got in on MHFU. Let me know if you'd like an mp4 video of our last hunt where we got the Tigrex. I had to capture it since Twitch switched to the new video streams, so I've got the whole hunt in an mp4 in case anyone else wants it. Thanks for the hard work this year, James and AppSpy!
