Description

《佛說阿彌陀經》又稱《小無量壽經》或《小經》，為淨土三部經之一。本譯本為後秦鳩羅摩什所譯《佛說阿彌陀經》。該經雖僅一卷，但受淨土宗所推崇，故與其他二經同為修行淨土法門必讀的經典，強調只要一心稱念阿彌陀佛的名號，死後就可往生西方。由於該經修持簡易，宋、明以後流傳漸廣，成為淨土的修持主流。

Amitabha Sutra is one of the primary sutras recited and upheld in the Pure Land Buddhist schools. It consists of a discourse which the Buddha gave at Jeta Grove in Sravasti to his disciple Shariputra. The talk concerned the wondrous adornments that await the righteous in the Western Pure Land, as well as the beings that reside there, including the buddha Amitabha.
